A thirteen day Sri Ram Katha by Pujya Sant Murlidharji Maharaj began at Parmarth Niketan yesterday on the auspicious occasion of Ganga Dussehra, with the divine presence and inspiration of Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji. The Hon’ble Urban Development Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Suresh Khanna BJP reached Parmarth Niketan for the beautiful inaugural ceremony and participated in its lamp lighting ceremony along with Pujya MM Ishwar Dasji, Pujya Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati, Pujya Swami Vedvigyanandji and respected Jain saints. The Hon’ble Agriculture Minister of Uttarakhand Shri Subodh Uniyal reached shortly thereafter for the event to take part in a special water blessing ceremony.
Pujya Swamiji welcomed both Ministers home and said that Sri Ram Katha was especially dedicated to environmental preservation, rejuvenating the River Ganga and engaging people’s participation for a Swachh Bharat.
Respected Shri Suresh Khanna shared that he was especially glad to be at Parmarth Niketan, on the banks of Mother Ganga, on the auspicious occasion of Ganga Dussehra for the inauguration of the Sri Ram Katha. He shared later in Ganga Aarti that the greatest gift and blessing in life is to be in service of others and he was glad to see the countless projects, initiatives and plans of Parmarth Niketan and its sister organisation towards this end. He also mentioned the upcoming Kumbha Mela in Allahabad, shared the government’s dedication to a clean Ganga and invited everyone to participate in the world’s largest gathering of humanity.
Respected Subodh Uniyal shared his government’s commitment to environmental preservation, protecting both Krishi and Rishi culture in the Himalayan state. He shared the numerous efforts the government was making for organic farming and rejevnating the state’s rivers and water bodies and mentioned that with Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Trivendra Singh Rawat’s leadership and Pujya Swamiji’s blessings for these efforts have added great momentum.
