Pujya Swamiji offers His shradhanjali and respect to the mission and the message of Swami Gyanswaroop Sanandji (Professor Dr GD Agarwalji) and says, “He lived for Ganga and died for Ganga. I believe that if Ganga Thrives, India Thrives and if Ganga Dies, India Dies. Therefore, let us all pledge to work together and serve tirelessly together to preserve and protect our River Ganga, not just as a clean river but in it’s essence, completing his mission, that will be our real shradhanjali to him.”
A special shradhanjali & moment of silence was held during the evening Ganga Aarti reflecting and respecting the tragic loss of Swami Gyan Swaroop Sanandaji (Prof GD Agarwal ji) at the age of 87, who was on a fast-unto-death for over 108 days, demanding for the ban on mining and hydropower projects in the River Ganga and insisting for the free flow of the National River Ganga.
