A special series of panels entitled “Making Friends Across Religions – Leaders Testimony and Counsel’ were held throughout the Parliament of the World’s Religions. These discussions required each Presenter to share a story of a friendship across religions and offer practical advice for practising friendships between peoples of different faiths. Discussions also were followed by a brief interaction between the presenters and the audience.
The eminient panelists included Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji – Muniji, President of Parmarth Niketan, Co-Founder of Global Interfaith WASH Alliance, Rabbi David Rosen, International Director of Interreligious Affairs of the American Jewish Committee, Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati, President of the Divine Shakti Foundation, Secretary General of Global Interfaith WASH Alliance, Bhaisahib Mohinder Singh Ahluwalia, Chairman and visionary for the Nishkam Group of Charitable Organisations, United Kingdom, Rev. Susan Johnson is the first female National Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada and beautifully moderated by Rabbi Alon Goshen-Gottstein, Founder and Director of Elijah Interfaith Institute and a leader in interfaith dialogue.
