‘‘हमारी पृथ्वी जैव-विविधता की दृष्टि से अत्यंत समृद्ध ग्रह है।’’ सभी प्राणियों और प्रजातियों को पृथ्वी पर रहने का समान अधिकार प्राप्त है परन्तु वर्तमान समय में हमने अपने विकास के लिये दूसरे प्राणियों का जीवन मुश्किल में डाल दिया हैं वास्तव में पृथ्वी, पर्यावरण, हमारा जीवन और विकास सब एक-दूसरे से जुड़े हुये हैं इसलिये जैव-विविधता का सरंक्षण जरूरी है, तभी हमारा जीवन भी सुरक्षित रह सकता है। स्वस्थ जीवन और स्वस्थ ग्रह के लिए आर्द्रभूमि और जल स्रोतों का महत्वपूर्ण योगदान हैं। आईये आज वल्र्ड वेटलैंड दिवस के अवसर पर अपने आस-पास की झीलों, नदियों, तलाबों और जलस्रोतों के संरक्षण का संकल्प ले क्योंकि ‘‘जल है तो जीवन है! जल है तो कल है’’
पूज्य स्वामी जी ने दिया संदेश आईये ‘जल क्रान्ति को जन क्रान्ति बनाये! जल आन्दोलन को जन आन्दोलन बनाये’।
Pujya Swami Ji Maharaj passionately declares that “Earth is a very rich planet in terms of biodiversity. Its environment, life and development are all related to each other. But, man has put the life of all creatures at risk to satisfy his need for development. By protecting Earth’s natural diversity, however, our lives will be safe. Wetlands and water bodies are an important part of that diversity – and, important contributors to the healthy life of our planet. So, let us conserve the lakes, rivers, ponds and water sources around us on this World Wetland Day. Let us pledge to keep all of the sources of sweet and potable water clean!”
