Day nine of the Sri Ram Katha at Parmarth Niketan was graced by BJP Vice President Shri Shyam Jaju and his wife. The Katha by Pujya Sant Murlidharji has been inspired to be a Green Katha by Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji, dedicated entirely to the preservation and conservation of our environment, protecting our sacred rivers and working for a Swachh Bharat.

Later Shri Shyam Jaju had Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji had detailed discussions on green technologies and solutions to help clean the River Ganga and her tributaries as well as maintain a truly Swachh Bharat. They also discussed the activities and events being planned by the Global Interfaith WASH Alliance and Ganga Action Parivar for Kumbh Mela 2019. Shri Jaju shared about the various initiatives by the Government to create a better India including a recent publication entitled “Saaf Niyat Sahi Vikas.”
During the evening Ganga Aarti there was another special pledge for freeing our sacred rivers of plastic pollution, open defecation and other sorts of pollution. Before retiring for the evening Mr and Mrs Jaju performed a water blessing ceremony as a symbol of their clean and green pledge.
