Divyang Maha Kumbha

With HH Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswati’s divine vision and under His compassionate leadership the Simhasth Kumbh Mahaparv – 2016 celebrated the first ever #Divyang #MahaKumbha with the presence of Hon’ble Shri Thawar Chand Gehlotji, Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, a celebration dedicated to divinely abled children everywhere. Junapeethadeshwar Pujya Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avdheshanand Giri Ji Maharaj, at whose beautiful camp the event took place, also blessed the occassion.

Pujya Swamiji brought to fruition and expression Hon’ble Shri Narendra Modi’s vision to re-adjust our understanding and identification of differently abled and specially abled children, from Viklang to Divyang. Pujya Swamiji shared that in divyang children we have the ability to learn and see how the Creator may have not given them a limb or a sense but has bestowed upon them countless other gifts.

In this spirit, Sewa Dham Sansthan, Rupantaran and many other NGOs and groups serving and comprised of divinely abled children presented song, dance and talks that inspired and engaged everyone.

A beautiful lamp lighting and water blessing ceremony marked the beginning and end of the programme as one dedicated to the well-being of all. Pujya Swamiji led a pledge to ensure that divinely abled children and families everywhere must have access to adequate and safe water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), which was fundamental to #socialjustice and key to #empowerment. He encouraged children and all pilrgims to pledge to protect and preserve our sacred rivers and our natural environment from all forms of pollution and to tread the planet more conscious of our #carbon and #water footprint.
