Immediately following the 4th Yoga Day celebrations, Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji graced a special Eid Milan reception in Delhi hosted by the Secretary General of the Jamiat Ulama I Hind, Maulana Syed Mahmood Asad Madaniji.
Also present on the occasion were former Vice President of India Hamid Ansariji, His Holiness Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche, Pujya Swami Agniveshji, Head of India TV Shri Rajat Sharma and other religious scholars, prominent personalities of media and industrialists.
On the occasion of the Eid gathering, religious leaders called for peaceful co-existence and maintaining peace and prosperity in the country.Their message to the youth of the country was to rise above caste and religious discrimination, hostility and work towards maintaining interfaith harmony.
Pujya Swamiji said whilst addressing the media, “This is true yoga when we come together as one family across interfaith backgrounds, castes, colours and creed to serve as one for a strong, resilient and united nation.
Maulana Mahmood Madaniji said, “India is a bouquet and we all are flowers in that bouquet. To maintain the fragrance of this bouquet, we all need to nourish unity, goodwill and brotherhood, then this world will continue to be happy. ”
Pujya Swamiji presented a sacred Rudraksh sapling to Pujya Swamiji, Maulana Mahmood Madaniji, Chetsang Rinpocheji, symbolising their commitment to environmental preservation. He shared that in the coming monsoon, they will work together for the promotion of greenery and the massive plantation of trees, especially along the banks of our sacred rivers.
