The first session of the 8th Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad (Indian Youth Parliament) was graced by Hon’ble Union Information Broadcasting Minister Smt Smriti Zubin Iraniji, Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji – Muniji and many others under the leadership of Shri Rahul Karadji of the World Peace University-MIT.
The programme included powerful talks by student leaders from many states and awarded many young and emerging leaders. The theme of the session was Democracy: Black and White.
Smt Smriti Iraniji shared in a spell-bounding and incredible speech about that beauty of Indian democracy lying in coexistence of diverse opinions in a multicultural society. She shared that instead of being black and white it was actually was colourful, much like a rainbow, and that diversity was reflected in thousands of students gathered there from 35 states.
During the session, Pujya Swamiji and Smriti Iraniji offered a set of the Encyclopaedia of Hinduism to the World Peace University- MIT Library. He shared how the EOH took 25 Years, 1000 yrs and brought together some of the world’s best institutions to complete this 11 volume, 7000 entries compendium.
Shri Rahul Karadji accepted the set with great pride and shared his great appreciation to Pujya Swamiji blessings and support.
