Forty members of the FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO), led by Mrs. Malvika Raiji, Former President of FLO, joined for divine Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan. Members of FLO had previously been incredibly inspired by Sadhvi Bhagawatiji, President of Divine Shakti Foundation, who has been a respected speaker at their conferences and events and were warmly invited by Sadhviji to come home to Parmarth during their trip to Rishikesh.
During their visit they engaged in tree plantation as part of Pujya Swamiji’s inspired Green Monsoon drive and to commemorate the special Green Day that the state of Uttarakhand was observing to encourage more and more plantation. The ladies were so enthusiastic and joyful as they planted some fifty saplings in the Parmarth premises, even admist light showers, and promised to keep coming back to visit their plants.
After Ganga Aarti they also learned about the various service initiatives that were flourishing under Pujya Swamiji’s vision and leadership, including the Divine Shakti Foundation’s work for Women Empowerment, Girl Child education and WASH. They were deeply inspired and touched by their visit to the holy banks of Mother Ganga and were eager to come back with their friends and family.
