Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji, President and Spiritual Leader of Parmarth Niketan in Rishikesh,, met with Honble Speaker of Lok Sabha Shri, Om Birlaji, this morning in Delhi.
High on the agenda was a discussion of the various technologies available to help clean up the River Ganga, including Pujya Swamiji’s innovative Sewage to Selfie Point concept that includes Geo-Tube Technology; other Decentralized Sewage Treatment Technologies; free clean drinking water systems at major pilgrimage locations that have less then 1% water waste; Hand-washing Stations; Solid Waste Management machines; agricultural waste reuse technologies to create buildings; and, many other green technologies.
They discussed working together to protect our sacred rivers, especially during the upcoming months of monsoon season. Pujya Swamiji warmly invited him home to Parmarth Niketan, on the banks of Holy Maa Ganga and in the lap of the Himalayas and gave both him and his wife, Dr Amita Birlaji, a sacred Rudraksha sapling.
