Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswati and Junapeethadheswar Pujya Acharya Mahamandleshwar Swami Avdheshanand Giri Ji Maharaj met with revered #Jain Saints Shri Ramesh Muniji and Shri Suresh Muniji during the Simhasth Kumbh Mahaparv – 2016.
They discussed various issues including the pollution of our #freshwater sources and our sacred #rivers in the form of sewage and industrial waste as well as unsafe sanitary practices such as #opendefecation. They discussed how the #Ujjain #KumbhaMela is a platform by which people could be inspired to reconnect with nature and inspired to protect their fresh water sources.
Their meeting vibrated with the feeling of oneness and harmony as a water-blessing ceremony was conducted with the holy waters of the #Kshipra River. All the saints agreed to keep environmental awareness, especially to end the practice of open defecation, as the central theme for their events, conventions and other lined up programs.
