Pujya Swamiji and Sadhvi Bhagawatiji participated at a high level roundtable held by Jim Yong Kim at the World Bank during their Spring Meetings, on the role of faith, faith leaders and faith based organizations in eliminating extreme poverty. In an incredibly compelling, nearly five hour discussion, they discussed issues ranging from water, sanitation, stunting and open defecation to hunger and violence against women and children.
The exciting work of the Global Interfaith WASH Alliance (GIWA) and the Divine Shakti Foundation (DSF) in these areas was shared and discussed.
