Today is Narasimha Jayanti, a sacred and beloved holy day on which we celebrate the appearance on Earth of Lord Narasimha, a fierce avatar of the Hindu god Vishnu who incarnates in the form of part lion and part man to restore Dharma by saving Prahlada and destroying evil and calamity on Earth. And, on this day, HH Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji, the President and Spiritual Leader of Parmarth Niketan, took a moment during observances at the Ashram to share how the compelling story of Narasimha applies to us all today.
“The message of the day,” Pujya Swamiji shared, ” is that, whenever the world turns against religion and the influence of the wicked increases, there is always an incarnation of the Lord, like Narasimha, to defeat the suffering of mankind. On one side there is fierceness and on the other there is love, but always there is the message that God is always with us.
“We must remember this today, in this Corona era. We must not panic, we must have courage, we must follow the rules, and we must support and serve everyone. When the mind is troubled by sorrow, with despair everywhere, pray…Prayer is the only solution. Pray to God. God is our refuge. We must surrender to Him. We must be positive. We must be devoted. Devotion can bring compassion to our hearts, even in a time of crisis.
“Come, let us all experience the love of the Lord in this Corona period. Corona is the stroke of nature, but we must take it from Corona to compassion. We must not run away, must not be afraid but, like Prahlada, get absorbed in devotion. Today, and every day, feel the love of God amidst the strike of Corona and see it as the incarnation of the Lord.”

प्रहार और प्यार के बीच में प्रभु का अवतार

ऋषिकेेेश, 25 मई। परमार्थ निकेतन के अध्यक्ष स्वामी चिदानन्द सरस्वती जी महाराज ने आज नृसिंह भगवान के प्राकट्य दिवस पर देशवासियों को शुभकामनायें देते हुये कहा कि यह भारत देश बड़ा महान है। अतुल्य भारत है हमारा और अद्भुत संस्कृति है इसकी। भारतीय संस्कृति, इसकी दिव्यता और इसकी भव्यता अद्भुत है। यहां पर प्रति दिन उत्सव है और प्रत्येक उत्सव; प्रत्येक पर्व शान्ति और भाईचारे का संदेश देता है।
वैशाख मास में शुक्लपक्ष की चतुर्दशी तिथि भगवान नरसिंह को समर्पित है, जिन्हें भगवान विष्णु का एक उग्र अवतार माना जाता है। जो आधे शेर एवं आधे मानव के रूप में अवतरित हुए थे। नृसिंह अवतार भगवान विष्णु ने अपने प्रिय भक्त प्रहलाद की रक्षा करने हेतु लिया था। नृसिंह अवतार भगवान विष्णु जी के चैथे अवतार माने गये हैं।
जब जब होई, धरम कै हानि। बाढ़हि असुर ,अधम अभिमानी।। तब तब प्रभु धरि,विविध शरीरा। हरहु कृपा निधि,सज्जन पीरा।। अर्थात जब-जब पृथ्वी पर धर्म की हानि होती है, दुष्टों का प्रभाव बढ़ने लगता है, तब सज्जनों की पीड़ा हरने के लिए प्रभु का अवतार होता है। स्वामी जी ने कहा कि हिरण्याकशिपु जिसने अर्धम किया और अपने बेटे प्रह्लाद तक को अनेक कष्ट दिये लेकिन उसके लिये प्रभु ने उस पर प्रहार किया और प्रह्लाद को बचाकर उसे प्यार दिया। रावण पर प्रहार किया और रावण का संहार किया लेकिन उसी के भाई विभीषण को कितना प्यार दिया। बाली पर प्रहार किया और उनके बेटे अंगद को अपनी शरण में लेकर के और प्यार किया। प्रहार और प्यार के बीच, वार और प्यार के बीच, एक ओर उग्रता तो दूसरी ओर व्याग्रता है इसकेपीछे यह संदेश है कि मैं हूँ और हर पल हूँ यह भी आश्वासन है कि धर्म की रक्षा हेतु सदैव प्रभु हमारे साथ है।
आज इस कोरोना काल में भी हमें यही करना है घबराना नहीं है, हिम्मत रखना है, नियमों का पालन करना है, सबका साथ देना है और सबका सहयोग करना है। ’’जब दुःख से मन घबरा जायेे, हर ओर निराशा छा जाये प्रार्थना कर; प्रभु से प्रार्थना कर। प्रार्थना ही एक उपाय है। पाॅजिटिविटी ही एक उपाय है। इस संकट के समय में भी हमारे दिलों में करूणा का स्पर्श दे सकती है तो वह है भक्ति; वह है प्रभु की शरण और प्रभु के प्रति समर्पण। आईये इस कोरोना काल में हम सब मिलकर प्रभु के प्रेम का अनुभव करे। यह जो प्रकृति का प्रहार है यह कोरोना टू करूणा है; ये उनकी कम्पैशन है कि हम जागें, भागे नहीं डरे नहीं डटे रहें प्रह्लाद की तरह प्रभु भक्ति में लीन हो जाये। आज कोरोना के प्रहार के बीच प्रभु के प्यार का अनुभव करे और प्रभु का अवतार है इसी का दर्शन करे।
