Parmarth Niketan was invited to organise a very special meditation and yoga session with the G20 delegates of the Infrastructure and Finances Working Group group on June 28 at Maharishi Mahesh Yogi ashram (Beatles Ashram) in Rishikesh.
Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji, President of Parmarth Niketan, and Pujya Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswatiji, Director of the International Yoga Festival at Parmarth Niketan, who were travelling abroad at the time sent their blessings. They shared their firm belief that global leaders and decision makers must be grounded and possess a balanced state of mind to make policies that are pro planet people, in the true spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – the world as one family. They added that Yoga and Meditation as a lifestyle is a key element to ensuring this.
With their blessings, Parmarth Rishikumars led a beautiful Yoga demonstration, as they invited delegates to do some stretches from their chairs and ended with a special meditation led by Yogacharya Ganga Nandiniji. This visit was a special excursion planned on the concluding day of the delegation’s visit to Uttarakhand by the State Government and included a tour through the Beatles Ashram.
