Pujya Bhaishri Rameshbhai Ozaji, Head Priest of Jagannath Temple Pujya Dilipdasji joined Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji and Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswatiji during the Ganga Aarti ceremony to lead a pledge for Green Kathas & Green Kumbha Melas – free from open defecation, pollution, plastic and other forms of solid and chemical contamination of our sacred rivers and life-giving water bodies. They reflected on the success of the Simhasth Kumbh Mahaparv – 2016, shared about their plans for the Ganga Sagar Mela early next year and encouraged everyone not only to take the Swachhta Pledge back with them but to plant at least one tree in memory of their sacred green pilgrimage to the holy banks of Mother Ganga, in the lap of the Himalayas.
