Pujya Swamiji Meets with Dr. PB Salimji, Secretary of Minority Affairs in Kolkata

During Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji – Muniji recent visit to Kolkata, He had a beautiful meeting with Dr. PB Salimji, Secretary, Government of West Bengal, Minority Affairs and Former District Magistrate of Nadia. Dr Salimji is a great role model of the incredible change dynamic, dedicated and deeply committed leadership can bring to making a truly Clean & Green Mela. Dr PB Salimji’s leadership has been pivotal in creating a Mela with a Message, by making the Ganga Sagar Mela a swachh (clean) and sundar (beautiful), one that is free from open defecation and pollution.

During the visit, Pujya Swamiji meet with Dr Salimji’s divine mother and appreciated the great values she has instilled in her son, who serves as a great inspiration to so many. He gifted Dr. Salimji’s family a sacred Rudraksha sapling for their green example and offered his blessing to Dr. Salimji for his journey onto being of even greater service to the state as the Secretary of Government of West Bengal, encouraging him to continue to set the divine example for swachhta and sadbhavana (cleaniness and interfaith harmony) for all.

Pujya Swamiji and Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati also invited Dr. Salimji and his beautiful family to Parmarth Niketan (Rishikesh) for the upcoming ODF Uttarakhand and Worship for WASH conference in May-June to share his experiences and learnings with others who are embarking in making their communities ODF and Swachh.
